Briana and Michael chose Larc Hill Vineyard Ranch because they love wine, love Lake Chelan, and wanted their engagement photos to feel intentional rather than just “a pretty location.” They wanted somewhere meaningful, somewhere that reflected the kind of quiet, romantic moments they enjoy together.
Fall in Chelan couldn’t have been more perfect for them. The vines were still full before harvest, the air had a faint crispness to it, and we had the most beautiful mix of soft sunlight and moody movement in the sky. With the lake in the background and the vineyards all around us, the entire session felt calm, intimate, and relaxed.
Romantic, Playful, and Completely Natural
From the beginning, Briana and Michael had such a sweet balance between romance and fun. They were a little quiet at first (which is completely normal), but as the session went on they relaxed into the moment and started interacting naturally, laughing, pulling each other close, and just enjoying being together.
One of my favorite moments from the session was the dip photo (and honestly, one of theirs too). It perfectly captured their playful energy while still feeling elegant and romantic at the same time. These little in-between moments are always the ones that end up meaning the most, the laughter, the movement, the way they naturally leaned into each other without even thinking about it.
One of the things I loved most about this engagement session was how intentional it felt. Instead of rushing from spot to spot, Briana and Michael took a few minutes to slow down, pour a glass of wine, and simply enjoy the view together.
That quiet moment overlooking Lake Chelan ended up being one of the most natural parts of the entire session. It gave me the chance to capture the way they really are together, relaxed, affectionate, and completely comfortable with each other.
