There’s something so sweet about tying the knot in your parent’s backyard. Backyard weddings tend to be more intimate and to me, seem to put a greater emphasis on the couple and their love story. Jake and Whitnie said ‘I Do’ at her father’s home in Quincy, Washington. They exchanged vows at sunset in front of a jaw dropping custom arch, made by a close family member of the bride. Fun fact: the arch will go to Jake and Whitnie’s backyard after the wedding, where they plan to set up a fire pit and seating area under it for entertaining. How cool is that?
There were so many little details that I fell in love with- from the use of purple everywhere (one of my favorite colors), to the scrumptious Korean style tacos they had for dinner and the fact they had cheesecake instead of a traditional wedding cake. Enjoy some photo highlights from the special day!
