“Mommy & Me” session at Potholes Reservoir, Washington State

There’s really nothing quite like the bond between a mother and her child. It’s all sorts of magical and it’s one of my favorite things to capture on camera! I had the privilege of capturing Virginia and her daughter Ava a few days before Mother’s Day this year and I loved every second of our time together. Ava has a lot of spunk, and she loves being silly especially if it makes mom crack a smile or two. We did run into some weather related difficulties (who allowed a thunderstorm to roll through our shoot?) but we were able to make the most of it. You can see some raindrops in some of the photos, but I think it adds character. Here are some of my favorites from our shoot at Upper Goose Lake, near Potholes Reservoir.
