Sweet spring elopement at Montlake Park in Moses Lake

I woke up last Saturday to gray skies and rain… lots of rain. Now normally rain isn’t a big deal, but it can pose a bit of a problem when you’re supposed to be getting married later in the day. And yes, I know they say a little rain on your wedding day is a good sign- but I don’t think anyone wants it to actually happen during their ceremony. Luckily, my bride and groom kept a cool head and didn’t let the weather forecast ruin their mood. After all, rain or not, they would be Mr. and Mrs. by the end of the day! Zayra and Sebastian quickly came up with a plan B for everyone in case the rain didn’t let up, but it turned out we didn’t even need it! The weather gods were on our side and the rain let up about an hour or so before their ceremony. The sun even came out for us, and turned what could’ve been an “April showers” kind of day to a beautiful, sunny Spring day- perfect for saying ‘I Do’ to! The couple said their vows in front of a small group of their closest friends and family. The brides’ mom even joined via Facetime from Mexico. It was very touching and you could really feel the love that surrounded the couple!

I also loved all the little details of this sweet elopement- from the bride’s sequin dress that sparkled in the sun, to her beautiful bouquet and her witnesses’ matching floral dresses!
